Returns & Refunds Policy

NOTICE: Because Eric's 3D Services provides custom-manufactured goods based on customer specifications, all sales are considered final. Please review the specific conditions below.
1. General "No-Return" Policy
Due to the bespoke nature of 3D printing, items are custom-made to order and cannot be resold. Therefore, Eric's 3D Services does not accept returns, exchanges, or "change of mind" cancellations once production has commenced. We do not offer refunds for items that the customer "no longer wants" or "ordered by mistake."
2. Non-Refundable Design & Labor
Any fees associated with 3D modeling, file repair, or custom slicing are strictly non-refundable. These fees represent payment for time and labor already expended, regardless of the final physical outcome or customer satisfaction with the design aesthetics.
3. Customer-Provided Files
We are not responsible for the failure of a print due to design flaws in the file provided by the customer. Refunds or free reprints will not be issued if:
- The part does not fit its intended application due to incorrect measurements in your design.
- The part fails structurally due to poor engineering or insufficient wall thickness in the digital model.
- The customer selected an inappropriate material (e.g., choosing PLA for a high-heat automotive application).
4. Defective Merchandise Claims
We take pride in our work, but 3D printing is an additive process that may include minor cosmetic variations. A refund or reprint will only be considered if there is a **Major Manufacturing Defect** (e.g., significant layer separation or incorrect material usage).
- 48-Hour Reporting Window: Any claim of a defect must be reported via email within **48 hours** of local pickup or delivery confirmation. Claims made after this window will be rejected.
- Evidence Required: Customers must provide high-resolution photographs and, if requested, a video of the defect.
- Return for Inspection: We reserve the right to require the customer to return the defective part (at the customer's expense) to Saint Albans, Maine, for physical inspection before any refund or reprint is authorized.
5. Exclusions from "Defective" Status
The following are inherent to the 3D printing process and are **not** grounds for a refund or return:
- Visible layer lines or "seams."
- Small surface artifacts or "zits" from support structures.
- Minor color variations between filament batches.
- Dimensional variances within 0.5mm.
6. Shipping & Pickup
- Original Shipping: Original shipping costs are non-refundable under all circumstances.
- Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for all costs associated with shipping an item back to us for inspection.
- Unclaimed Pickups: For local orders in Saint Albans, items not picked up within 30 days of completion will be forfeited and recycled. No refunds will be issued for abandoned orders.
7. Refund Method
In the rare event that a refund is authorized, it will be issued to the original payment method, minus a **20% processing and material waste fee**. Please allow 5-10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
